PEUGEOT PX10N - RACING ICON (1980) - ABOUT 9.8 KG

A legend of French cycling: the thoroughbred of the 1980s

We have the privilege to present a centerpiece of cycling history: a Peugeot PX10N from 1980. More than a bike, the PX10 is the emblematic model that carried the greatest champions of the Peugeot-Esso-Michelin team to glory. This specific model embodies the pinnacle of the workshop know-how at Peugeot of the era, combining lightness, responsiveness, and a timeless aesthetic.

History and prestige

The PX10 long served as the brand’s flagship, equipping professional riders before the carbon era. In 1980, Peugeot refined its geometry to offer a hand brazed frame, a mark of superior artisanal manufacturing quality. This bike is not just a collector’s item; it is a witness to the golden age of French steel frames.

Technical specifications & exceptional components

This bike has benefited from exceptional preservation, strict inspection, and a full refurbishment ("konserviert, geprüft & aufbereitet").

frame and fork: high-end steel hand-brazed, sporting the classic black livery with the famous Peugeot checkerboard.

dimensions: seat tube height 54 cm (center-to-top), top tube 53.5 cm (center-to-center). Ideal for a rider between 1.68 m and 1.78 m.

transmission: Simplex Peugeot 2x6 speed groupset (12 speeds). Derailleurs and shifters from Simplex are renowned for their precision and lightness.

crankset: Spidel (the premium label grouping France’s best manufacturers of the era), offering optimal rigidity.

braking: Weinmann 605 calipers, providing powerful and progressive braking.

drivetrain: lightweight and high-performance wheelset with Super Champion "Gentleman" tubular rims, mounted on Spidel Professional hubs by Maillard. A light and capable configuration.
