The Canon Demi is a half-frame camera, for ordinary 35mm film in cartridge form, which makes two exposures of 24 x 18mm instead of the normal film frame of 24 x 36mm. A roll of film with 36 exposures can then contain 72 individual half-frame photos.
The Demi Rapid came onto the market in 1965, with the then-popular "rapid-loading system", a battery-powered CD-doser system and a self-timer.
