Cruet set (6) - Glass, Metal

A Victorian cruet set from the first half of the last century in glass and silver-plated metal in lovely condition.

The set consists of a silver-plated stand with a twisted rope handle, holding four matching glass containers: two oil and vinegar bottles with faceted glass stoppers, one pepper shaker with a domed silver-plated lid, and one salt container with a hinged silver-plated lid and a small notch for a spoon.
The stand sits on four ball feet and the base has a mirror-style surface.

Accompanying the set is a large oval glass serving bowl with an interior cross divider creating four compartments.
The bowl features a wonderful elaborate cut and pressed design.

The glass is in good condition with no cracks or chips. The metal fittings show light patina and a few minor age spots. The two bottle stoppers are matching in design but not identical, one is slightly more polished and marginally taller than the other, which is hardly noticeable when in place. The set looks fantastic overall.
