Christofle is a French silversmith and tableware company, founded in Paris in 1830 by Charles Christofle.
The company is known for introducing electroplated gilding and silver plating in France in 1842. The firm was acquired in 2012 by one of its shareholders, the Chalhoub family luxury group.
The House Christofle relies on manufacturing that is entirely handmade, following traditional techniques.
