Description from the seller

Elegant fall-front desk (secretary) from the early 20th century, crafted in solid walnut and veneered with refined inlays and banding. Thanks to its compact, well-proportioned size, this piece represents a perfect blend of period functionality and modern versatility, ideal as an accent piece in an entryway or a study.

Main features:

Material: Premium walnut with an open-grain finish on the fall-front and light-toned fillets that emphasize its geometric design.

Lo Scarabattolo: The interior is finely organized with a central compartment flanked by two shaped doors, accompanied by small drawers and arching open compartments. A hallmark of high cabinetry that makes the piece valuable even when opened.

Condition: Excellent. The furniture has undergone professional conservative restoration using shellac and is finished with carnauba wax, which provides a warm, natural sheen while protecting the wood fibers.

Hardware: Original locks in perfect working order. Supplied with an original key and a faithful handcrafted reproduction.

Style: A sober interpretation of classical styles typical of the early 1900s, with pyramidal, tapered legs that give the piece a slender silhouette.
