Antique speculaas molds, one double-sided – oak wood – 19th / early 20th century
Special and authentic speculaas molds, hand-carved from solid oak. This fine piece of folk art displays several detailed scenes; see photos.
The molds are deep and carved with great craftsmanship, indicating artisanal production. Such molds were used for making speculaas figurines and were often regionally styled in line with local traditions and symbolism.
