Egyptian 5 Piastre silver coin, 1956 (1376), graded MS64 by NGC.

EGYPT. 5 Piastre. 1376 (1956)
- Value: 5 Piastre.
- Year: 1376 (1956).
- Inscriptions: Obverse: bust of the Sphinx facing right with dates in Arabic “١٣٧٦-١٩٥٦”. Reverse: value “٥ قروش” inside extended wings with a heading in Arabic at the top.
- Grading: MS64 (NGC).
Silver 5 Piastre coin with the modern design characteristic of republican Egypt, featuring on the obverse a stylized representation of the Sphinx with clean lines and soft volumes, accompanied by the dates in the Islamic and Gregorian calendars. The reverse presents a symbolic composition with open wings framing the value, evoking strength and national renewal after the end of the monarchy. The specimen shows notable preservation, with original shine well preserved, light contact marks in fields and defined reliefs, along with a faint silver patina. This piece reflects the period after the 1952 revolution and the consolidation of Egyptian republican identity.
