Description from the seller

Gravé Armenian copper chandelier – Ottoman Empire, circa 1801

Turned copper chandelier, with a baluster stem and wide circular base, intended for liturgical or religious domestic use.
It bears on its base an inscription engraved in Armenian, indicating presumably a votive dedication and a date corresponding to the very beginning of the 19th century (around 1801).

Armenian artisanal craftsmanship from the Ottoman period, characteristic of the production of Christian communities in Anatolia and the Caucasus, where liturgical objects were often signed or dedicated.

Beautiful old patina, signs of use and oxidation consistent with age.
No restorations visible.
Historically interesting object due to the presence of the Armenian inscription.

The photos are an integral part of the object description and complement its presentation. They allow you to assess its condition and characteristics. Please examine them carefully before any commitment.

The item will be carefully packed and shipped with a tracking number to ensure fast and secure delivery.

Happy bidding
