Description from the seller

Beautifully restored MGB Roadster from 1972 offered, this MG is maintained and improved in every detail! in the color Tartan red with an excellent black leather interior with red piping, original black steering wheel, silver painted spoke wheels, and gorgeous chrome work.

This MGB was imported in 2002 and between 2010 and 2020 fully body-off restored. After that, the car was nut-and-bolt rebuilt and equipped with a new interior, revised engine, and new paint.

Exterior:

The color is Tartan red; in 2010 the body was restored and the color applied neatly both inside and out. The paint is still in good condition, naturally with some minor signs of use since then. The sheet metal fits very nicely, the rubbers have been replaced and all chrome parts are in very good condition; additionally, the soft top was replaced in 2020 with a new Mohair trim. Furthermore, there is a soft top cover
This MGB has been cherished by the previous owner since 2021, nothing has been spared and it shows!

This MGB has 14" spoke wheels which were supplied in 2015; furthermore the MG has very neat classic tires with ample tread. The chassis is tight and neat, and the brakes and suspension are also perfect and operate well. In 2012 new shock absorbers were installed for extra comfort. The exhaust has a sporty single tailpiece. Additionally, this MGB Roadster features original MGB badges, a nearly new chrome grille, and clear Lucas headlights.

Interior:

The interior features two luxury black leather MGB seats with red piping and headrests, matching door cards, a beautiful black carpet set, and new MG mats. The dashboard is neat; this is the luxury dashboard model with extra gauges from Smiths. The MG is professionally insulated for more comfort.

Technical:

Equipped with an original 1798cc four-cylinder Gold Seal engine with 98 BHP and a revised well-shifting four-speed synchro gearbox (2015). The carburetor is original but revised and very well tuned. Additionally, new spark plug cables, plugs, oil, and filters have been installed. Of course, the entire technical system has been thoroughly checked in our workshop and given a complete service. The mechanics are perfect, equipped with good brake piping and brakes (disc brakes upfront). This MGB is technically 100% sound.

Included:

Delivery service (inspection)
Export documents (export)
Technical inspection

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
