"Miracle à Terre-Neuve - XL" is an original oil painting on canvas from the 1930s by École Basque, Spain, hand-signed, measuring 126 x 91 cm.
Description from the seller
- Oil on canvas. Original canvas.
- Look at that sea! It’s not water, it’s an oily, furious chaos that swallows everything in its path. The brushstrokes aren’t strokes, they’re whips that sculpt those roaring, monstrous waves that threaten to engulf the fragile boat. And the crew! Oh my God, the crew! There’s no time for elegance; it’s a fight to the death. Those tense bodies, bent over, gripping the oars as if they were the last lifelines. Every muscle screams agony, every face is a mask of terror and blind determination. They are fleeing the hell they see in the background, the skeleton of the blue whaling boat sinking in that supernatural and menacing glow. They are escaping death itself!
- Unframed image dimensions: 126 x 91 cm
