Magnificent Desert Rose. A set of calcium sulfate crystals and grains of sand forming petals that resemble a flower. Acquired in Sahara 1960. Very well cared for with brown and orange tones. Display piece. Measurements 21 x 15 x 17 cm. Measurements vary depending on how it is placed. Weight 2120 g. It sits on a bronze/brass base from the late 19th century. Figures of Griffins and sinuous bodies of sea serpents with grotesque faces are visible. Measurements 29 x 20 x 4. Inner mouth 10 cm. Weight 475 g. An excellent and heavy piece.
