The Summit Audio 2BA-221 is a high-quality valve/transistor microphone and instrument preamplifier. Thanks to the flexible design of the 2BA-221, the user has the ability to mix microphone and instrument signals. Tube and transistor outputs are available simultaneously.
The microphone employed can be optimally tuned to the desired sonic character via an adjustable high-pass filter and adjustable input impedance. The Summit 2BA-221 model was developed specifically for HD recording system users, but its flexibility also makes it ideal for both live use and studio work.
