All automatic watches on first use must be wound by the crown as wrist movement alone is not sufficient to maintain the necessary power reserve

RULE FOR ALL DATE-WR models
To avoid potential damage to the watch mechanism, please do not set the date with the crown when the time is between 21:00 and 03:00. It is recommended to set the date with the crown when the time is between 03:05 and 20:55. (Some models have a screw-down crown; for settings you need to gently unscrew the crown counterclockwise. Remember to securely screw the crown back after adjusting.)
