Rare Granada 1 Real dated 1597, the only year documented for the assayer C (Melchor Rodríguez del Castillo); a piece missing in many collections and whose typology is only known for 1 and 2 reales. Even with some porosity on the obverse, the date 1597 and assayer C are clear; the mint mark is situated beneath the assayer in these issues.

Raro real de Granada fechado 1597, único año documentado para el ensayador C (Melchor Rodríguez del Castillo); pieza que falta en muchas colecciones y cuya tipología solo se conoce en 1 y 2 reales. Aun con ciertas porosidades en anverso, fecha 1597 y ensayador C nítidos; la marca de ceca se sitúa bajo el ensayador en estas emisiones.
