Zeldzame vondst. 

Aangeboden: de Steiff-kerstman Santa Claus. 
Dit is de originele kerstman van Steiff, geproduceerd in de jaren ‘50. 

De kerstman is 31 cm hoog. 

Het hoofd van de kerstman verkeert in redelijke  staat voor zijn leeftijd. Het is het oudste type gummi-hoofd wat na 70 jaar volledig hard is geworden. Het hoofd van Santa is weliswaar intact, maar heeft wel een rimpeling op de wang en in de nek (foto 3,4 en 13). 
Het hoofd heeft verder een zeer mooie inkleuring, de kerstman heeft blosjes op zijn wangen. 

Het pak en muts van Santa Claus zijn origineel en in zeer goede staat. Het pak is gemaakt van vilt en afgezet met wolpluche.  

Origineel borstschild is nog aanwezig, knop en vaantje niet meer. 
Op de laatste foto is een catalogusfoto van Steiff te zien.
