Description from the seller
Authentic German desk lamp from the 1930s, an icon of European modernism and industrial style. The specimen boasts exceptional sturdiness and fully documented provenance—under the cast-iron base there is a stamped patent signature DRGM (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster) with workshop designation “a.” The lamp is complete, free of any mechanical defects, cracks or dents, making it an ideal collectible object.
The construction rests on a heavy, circular base cast in iron, equipped with the original white push-button switch. The steel shade and arm are currently covered with a secondary layer of black paint, which can be easily removed, revealing underneath a perfectly preserved original factory finish (also visible inside the shade). The lamp has a fully functional adjustment system with a classic butterfly bolt, allowing any desired angle of light. This is a rare on the secondary market specimen, unsullied by contemporary modifications, which after gentle cleaning of the secondary paint will become an ornament in any study, loft, or collection.
