Description from the seller
The 1978 Beogram 1102 was a fully automatic, hi-fi stereo turntable with electronic servo drive and a high level of specification designed by Jacob Jensen. Operation was simple and uncomplicated. All functions were operated by pressing the rectangular control panel, and if the tonearm speed was not to your liking, the speed could be adjusted by pressing the panel and turning the small thumb wheel. The pickup was an MMC 20 S with a spherical diamond. It tracked records with a stylus force of 1.2 grams. To fully exploit the pickup’s outstanding properties, B&O designed an ultra-light magnesium pickup arm which, together with the unique suspension, provided low inertia and thereby good conditions for proper contact between the stylus and both walls of the groove—at all times. Even warped records could be played correctly. Despite the high specification, the automatic turntables Beogram 1102 and 1902 are extremely easy to operate. All technical details are hidden beneath the surface. Bang & Olufsen’s electronic servo drive ensures that the rotation speed of the Beogram 1102 and 1902 remains correct, despite fluctuations in mains voltage. This is thanks to a special feedback circuit that makes automatic corrections to compensate for these inherent variations. This unit is in good condition with normal signs of wear for its age. Functions perfectly.
