Wendingen - 1918 No 6 - 1918

Rare issue from the famous architectural magazine Wendingen: sixth issue of the first year, at the time with a circulation of 650.

Wendingen was a highly influential monthly for buildings and decoration. A Dutch architecture and art magazine published from 1918 to 1933, first by the Amsterdam publisher De Hooge Brug (Henri Wiessing) and from 1924 by C.A. Mees in Santpoort (Mea Verwey and Conno Mees).

The editor-in-chief was the architect Hendrik Wijdeveld, who played an important role regarding content, layout and typography. Many architects and artists contributed to the magazine.

Wendingen from the early years is very scarce, partly due to the poor paper used. There are still a few tens or hundreds of copies left, most of which are in international museum collections and libraries.

This copy is in reasonably good condition; the raffia binding is intact and the interior as well, the cover shows some cracks and discoloration on the inner back side.
Furthermore, notable is the loose technical section, which is usually missing.
