Description from the seller

An extraordinary lot of 10 bottles of Moscato Grappa aged in oak barrels.
[Expert's remark: it is impossible to verify that the contents are indeed from 1899 - it could be a brandname - ES]

As evidenced by the Italian state seal with pink-orange watermark, three stars, and the 1-liter designation, it was produced and bottled in the 1970s.

The Bosso distillery was founded in 1888, and its headquarters in Cunico date back to the 1920s, when the nearby railway was built. A historic distillery in the province of Asti, they still produce using artisanal methods, not industrial methods.

In 1930, Giovanni's son, Luigi, moved production permanently to Cunico (AT), near the Asti-Chivasso railway line, which was still under construction at the time. This means of transport greatly facilitated the movement of products throughout Italy, fostering the company's growth. Luigi renamed it Distilleria a Vapore, and the company logo still bears his initials.

Shipping costs are surcharged for islands and remote locations.
