Description from the seller
AUSTRIA. 100 Schilling. 1978.
- Value: 100 Schilling.
- Year: 1978.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: ARLBERGSTRASSENTUNNEL ERBAUT 1974–1978 · DAT PREMIA DIGNA LABORUM. Reverse: REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH · HUNDERT SCHILLING · 1978.
- Grade: Proof.
Large-format commemorative coin dedicated to the construction of the Arlberg tunnel, with a symbolic scene on the obverse that shows a stylized Alpine landscape beneath a radiant sun and two hands shaking, representing the joint effort in the engineering project. The reverse presents the value “100” accompanied by heraldic shields in an orderly arrangement, within a modern and balanced composition. The piece shows good detail in the reliefs and contrast between fields and figures, with surfaces that show slight handling marks, maintaining an overall attractive appearance that is representative of Austrian commemorative issues from the 1970s.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to leave absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside EU that has special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
