Rare Art Deco Showpiece Vase – France c. 1920/30 – Satin Glass & Bronze Mounting

For sale is an outstanding collector's item of French Art Deco. This imposing vase, 34 cm tall, perfectly embodies the luxurious spirit of the "Années Folles" and captivates with the combination of masterful glassmaking and architectural metalwork.

Origin: France, circa 1920–1930 (style: Verrerie d'Art).

Material: Thick-walled, frosted glass ("frosted glass") with an elegant, spiraling relief cut that develops a silky depth in the light.

Mounting: High-quality, gold-colored mounting (presumably brass). The handles feature a strict geometric zig-zag design, and the stylized palmette pedestal are iconic features of Art Deco.

The vase is in a very fine, authentic preserved condition. The glass shows no cracks. The mounting has a charming, age-related patina that underscores its antique character.

Herkunft: Frankreich, ca. 1920–1930 (Stilrichtung: Verrerie d'Art).

Material: Dickwandiges, satiniertes Glas ("Frosted Glass") mit einem eleganten, spiralförmig verlaufenden Reliefschliff, der im Licht eine seidige Tiefe entwickelt.

Montur: Hochwertige, goldfarbene Montur (vermutlich Messing). Die Griffe im strengen geometrischen "Zick-Zack"-Design und der stilisierte Palmetten-Standfuß sind ikonische Merkmale des Art Déco.
