AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Era: Circa 1900 (Art Nouveau period)
Origin: France (Nancy School style / Verreries de l’Est)
Condition: Very good overall. Shows normal wear consistent with its age (slight wear to the gilding in places, micro-surface scratches), which attests to its authenticity. No cracks, nor major chips.
Technical description:
Beautiful baluster-shaped vase with a quadrilobed neck, made of thick, heavy blown glass (approximately 2 kg). The piece presents an elegant color gradient from a deep violet at the base to crystalline transparency at the neck.
The body is adorned with two hot-applied "ear" handles, in black/eggplant color, embellished with knobs typical of art glass production of this period. The floral decoration, of great finesse, is hand-painted in fine gold on the body and outlined with a gold rim at the neck and base.
Although unsigned, this model sits in the lineage of prestige productions such as Legras (Saint-Denis) or Czech Bohemian master glassmakers for the French market of the early 20th century.
Dimensions:
Height: 40 cm
Maximum diameter: 17 cm
Neck diameter: 14 cm
Weight: approx. 2 kg
