Antique top hat from the early phase of the 20th century (c. 1910–1920), made of black silk plush.

The hat comes from the traditional Bernese hatmaking house P. Zurbrügg’s Söhne, Bern, and impresses with its classic, elegant shape as well as high-quality craftsmanship.

Inside there is a stamp from A. Cassé – Paris ("Fournisseurs des marques parisiennes"), a renowned supplier of high-quality hat materials. Additionally, the awards Grand Prix London 1908 and Bruxelles 1910 are noted, which allows dating after 1910.

The top hat is in good, age-appropriate condition with slight signs of wear. Shape stable, interior lining and sweatband original.

The original hat box with gold lettering is also present and complements the set.

Today original pieces from this period are rarely fully preserved, especially in combination with the original hat box.
