Description from the seller

“The Mother of God Intercessor (Bogoroditsa with supplication)”

Parchment in the hand: it contains a prayer in ecclesiastical Slavic (probably a supplication for humanity).
Hand pointing toward the chest: gesture of intercession.
Head inclined and sad expression: a typical feature of the supplicating Virgin.
Stars on the maphorion: a symbol of her virginity before, during, and after childbirth.
Old Russian style (possibly 18th–19th century, though it could be earlier or a copy of a more ancient model).

This type of iconography represents the Virgin as:

Intercessor before Christ on behalf of humanity
Bearer of prayer (the parchment)
Compassionate Mediator
