Tintin - Hergé / Vilac - Wooden Piggy Bank - Snowy (Milou) on Cushion

A rare and whimsical vintage wooden piggy bank (tirelire) featuring Snowy (Milou), the iconic companion from The Adventures of Tintin. This collectible was produced by the prestigious French toy maker Vilac, known for their high-quality woodcraft.

Product Details

    Character: Snowy (Milou) wearing a blue bow and sitting on a red tassel cushion.

    Manufacturer: Vilac, Moirans, France.

    Origin: Made in France.

    Design: A two-part construction featuring a printed wooden silhouette of Snowy set into a sturdy, semi-circular solid wood base.

    Authenticity: Includes the "HERGE" copyright mark on the front and the original Vilac manufacturer sticker on the base.

Coin Mechanism

    The back of the base features a plastic circular housing with a central opening for inserting coins.

    The housing is marked with "PNF" and "Made in France".

    A small black lever/key is located above the entry point.

Condition Report

    The item is in very good vintage condition with some signs of age-related wear.

    The printed graphics remain bright and clear.

    The wooden base shows a natural grain with minor scuffs consistent with careful handling.

    The coin entry shows some wear around the opening.
