Silver - Pendant - Baptism of Christ

Elegant and refined devotional jewelry made in silver filigree, characterized by extremely fine and decorative workmanship with a floral and naturalistic taste.

The central element consists of an oval hand-painted enamel miniature depicting a religious scene: the Baptism of Christ, with Saint John the Baptist blessing Jesus, set in a landscape with delicate tones. The painterly quality and the softness of the colors confer depth and refinement to the piece.

The mount, large in size and with a strong visual impact, features an elaborate filigree structure with floral motifs, leaves and ribbons, typical of Italian artisanal production. The inner edge is radiantly decorated, harmoniously framing the central scene.

On the back there is a raised medallion with a sacred depiction (Madonna with Child), an element that further emphasizes the devotional purpose of the object. The piece is equipped with a top ring for suspension (usable as a pendant).

Good overall condition with signs of age. Oxidation of the silver, slight deformations of the filigree, and small losses are visible, consistent with its age. The central miniature is well preserved and legible.
