Elixir Végétal, a lot of 2 bottles of 100 ml, produced in France in the 2020s, with original packaging and unopened.
Description from the seller
Set of 2 bottles of the Elixir of the Grande Chartreuse. Original packaging, never opened, in superb condition.
Careful and perfectly protected shipping.
In 1605, the Duke of Estrées entrusted to the Carthusians a manuscript bearing a mysterious recipe composed of 130 plants that could give birth to an “Elixir of Long Life.” For more than a century and a half, the Carthusians would develop this recipe which, thanks notably to Brother Jérôme Maubec, gave rise to a definitive product fixed in 1764 called the “Vegetal Elixir of the Grande Chartreuse.” It was quickly distributed as a care product to local populations, notably during the cholera crisis of 1832. Brother Charles was the first to commercialize it on local markets, coming down from the monastery on a donkey. Since 1764, the recipe of the Elixir has remained unchanged.
