Description from the seller
Impressive, fascinating, surprisingly refined. The Moskva 2 is a camera that carries with it the weight and allure of postwar photography, when every shot was built with precision and intention. It's not just a machine: it's a piece of history.
Its folding design makes it unique: it opens like a small precision instrument, revealing an optical system capable of producing images in 6x9 format — large, detailed, incredibly deep. Each photograph has presence, substance, tridimensionality. It is medium format in its purest form.
Equipped with a rangefinder, it offers focusing that is more precise than earlier models, making it not only collectible but perfectly usable even today. The Industar lens renders images with a classic character: sharp but soft, with an elegant and natural blur (bokeh).
Built entirely of metal, robust and reliable, it was conceived as a Soviet alternative to the era's famous German cameras, while retaining its own personality—more direct, more authentic.
