Description from the seller
We propose at auction an intriguing biottica camera, the REFLECTA, a classic example of optical engineering from East Germany produced by Richter & KW before the merger into Welta. This TLR (twin lens reflex) is a solid, compact model, ideal for those wishing to approach the world of medium format with a tool whose design is essential and iconic. The REFLECTA mounts a 75mm bright anastigmat taking lens with f/4.5 aperture, paired with a waist-level finder that yields a broad and bright framing on frosted glass. The body is made of sturdy metal coated in black leather, with chrome finishes that maintain a pleasant vintage shine. The central shutter offers several shutter speeds, in addition to B and T settings, allowing full manual control of exposure. This model uses 120 roll film to produce twelve 6x6 cm square negatives, the format preferred by many artists and street photographers for its compositional versatility. The item in the photograph presents generally good cosmetic condition, with signs of use that emphasize its authenticity and history. A piece with great character, perfect both as a collectible to enrich a vintage photography display and as a working camera for those who want to experience the charm of traditional analog photography.
