Traditional birth cup, vase-shaped in Art Deco style, made of 0.833 silver (63 g) from Europe, 1900–1950, engraved with the name Wimmie, with a vertical grooved lower edge and three Dutch hallmarks on the interior base, showing minor dents and surface marks but overall in good condition.
Description from the seller
This cup is a traditional birth cup with a gracefully engraved name "Wimmie".
The cup has a notable vertically grooved edge at the bottom.
This decoration is associated with the Art Deco style.
There are three silver marks on the bottom:
The curled V is a hallmark/tax stamp used in the Netherlands from 1906 to 1953.
The silver content is 833
Next to the closed eight-pointed star is a difficult-to-read letter, possibly the letter C; this is the master mark.
The photos are part of the description.
Here you can see that the cup shows several small dents.
The deepest dent is located 2.5 cm below the "e" of Wimmie.
This dent measures 4 mm at its widest point and tapers to 1 mm in depth.
On the side, 1 cm from the bottom edge, there is a diagonally horizontal, dash-like dent about 6 mm wide.
Finally, there is a minimal point dent (2 mm) about 1 cm above the bottom edge.
These dents are also noticeable to the touch on the inside of the cup.
On the inside bottom there is one dark spot about 2 mm.
Furthermore, there are several black specks distributed over the cup.
The cup weighs 63 grams
The height is 7.1 cm
The diameter at the top rim is 6.1 cm
The diameter at the bottom is 4.4 cm
The cup will be carefully packed and insured for shipping.
Pickup is also possible.
