Description from the seller
FOR SALE: MARANTZ 2215B STEREOPHONIC RECEIVER
– almost LIKE NEW CONDITION & REVISED
Are you looking for that warm, characteristic "Marantz Sound" in a jacket that is indistinguishable from new? This example of the Marantz 2215B has been meticulously technically revised and visually brought to collectible condition.
ABOUT THIS MARANTZ 2215B
The 2215B is known as one of the most musical receivers of the legendary 2200 series. Although the specifications may seem modest, this receiver delivers a sound that outshines many modern amps thanks to its high build quality and oversized power supply.
- Condition: Visually in near-new condition. No scratches on the front panel, all labelling intact, and the illumination is crystal clear.
- Revision: Fully technically inspected. All critical capacitors (electrolytics) have been replaced with high-grade audio components (recapped). The potentiometers have been professionally cleaned and lubricated for crack-free operation.
- Alignment: The idle current and DC offset have been adjusted according to the original factory specifications, so it can last for decades again.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
Power: 2 x 15 Watts RMS into 8 Ohms
Frequency response: 15 Hz to 50 kHz
Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): 0.8%
Damping factor: 40
Inputs: Phono (MM), Aux, Tape (In/Out)
Tuner: AM/FM Stereo with legendary Gyro-Touch tuning
Signal-to-noise ratio: 80 dB (Line), 65 dB (Phono)
Dimensions: 441 x 137 x 292 mm
Weight: 9.5 kg
WHY CHOOSE THIS CLASSIC?
- The Look:
The blue scale illumination and the brushed aluminum front are a timeless design statement in any interior.
- The Sound:
Silky highs, a full midrange, and a tight, controlled bass.
- The Investment:
Vintage Marantz gear in this condition only increases in value.
Warranty:
The audio equipment we offer is primarily vintage gear aged 40 years or older. Each unit is carefully inspected by us, professionally cleaned, and extensively tested before being offered for sale.
Despite this careful inspection, it can happen that a defect arises on receipt or over time. Because of the age of the equipment, such malfunctions can occur unexpectedly and are, unfortunately, beyond our control.
For this reason we cannot offer a warranty on vintage equipment. We understand this may be inconvenient and we believe it is important to be transparent and honest about it. Of course we do our utmost to deliver each unit in as good a condition as possible.
