Description from the seller

Classic Abyssinian saber with the Lion of Judah grip. An impressive sword owned by an Ethiopian nobleman. Manufactured in England. Menelik II had swords made in England at one point. The steel is sturdier and the saber hilts are more European-inspired.

This saber is not something you want swinging at your head. The Italians lost the Battle of Adwa due to the fearless Abyssinian fighters who charged at them with long swords in large numbers.

Bring a piece of Abyssinian African history into your home with this impressive sword
