Description from the seller

Wonderful oil on canvas 30 x 40 by the master Vincenzo Somma, Neapolitan macchiaiolo painter (who loves painting coastal views, seascapes, landscapes, and more). His works feature in public and private collections, in Italy and abroad. A painter of excellent painterly skill. Depicting a marvelous Venetian canal with boats and figures and beautiful palaces magnificently executed (Canale di Venezia). One notes the artist’s excellent and delicate brushwork, where he uses vivid, textural, and decisive colors with naturalness and precision, rendering the painting harmonic and elegant. On the back, signature by the artist. Provenance: private collection and traceable shipment.
