Transition-style plat-backed chair dating to 1900–1910, oak with burgundy velvet and gilded studs, 96 cm high, 49 cm wide, 44 cm deep, seat height 38 cm, 8 kg, made in France, in good condition with some signs of age.

Title: Transition-style chair – Late 19th / Early 20th century – Raspberry Velvet
Rare Transition-style chair blending the grace of Louis XV curved legs with the more structured frame of the Louis XVI back. A characterful piece with a superb patina on the wood.
Condition: Good overall condition for its age. The raspberry-colored velvet is well preserved despite some light pressure marks. The wood shows a beautiful depth of tone, reflecting its age (Napoleon III / Belle Époque period).
Features: Flat-back with shoulder mouldings, scroll carvings, generous and comfortable seat.
Realistic value estimate in line with current antique dealer listings is €80 to €110 depending on the expert.
