Description from the seller
Vintage Sansui 7 channels Equalizer with a reverberation amplifier! Made in Japan.
The Sansui RG-707 is a classic piece of "Silver Era" Hi-Fi gear from the early 1980s. It’s a versatile unit that combines a 7-band graphic equalizer with a reverberation amplifier, allowing users to both shape the
frequency response and add artificial "depth" or echo to their music.
Allow also to plug 2 microphones or 2 instruments (e.g. guitars), with their own each equalization.
Tested and working.
Key Technical Specifications:
Output Voltage 150mV (max 4V)
Frequency Response 20Hz to 20kHz
Signal to Noise Ratio 70dB
Total Harmonic Distortion 0.05%
Equalizer Control Range ±12dB
Equalizer Bands 60, 150, 400, 1k, 2.4k, 6k, 15k Hz
Reverb Time 0 to 3 seconds
Features & Functionality:
• Dual-Purpose Design: It functions primarily as an EQ to fix room acoustics, but the "Concert Hall" reverb feature was a popular gimmick of the era to simulate live environments.
• Visual Appeal: It features the iconic multi-color LED slide potentiometers and a display that glows, which was a hallmark of Sansui's aesthetic during the transition from analog to digital-look components.
• Tape Monitoring: It includes a tape monitor circuit, allowing you to EQ a signal before it hits your recording deck or monitor the playback through the EQ.
