This item is a Tibetan prayer wheel adorned with gemstone mosaic.
A ritual instrument in Tibetan Buddhism to symbolically recite and spread prayers and mantras by spinning the wheels.
Engraved with the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum, which stands for compassion and wisdom.
Consists of one cylinder (wheel) that rotates around a vertical axis, often placed on an altar or table.
The cylinder is made of copper, and the housing is decorated with inlaid stones such as turquoise and coral. The cylinder is filled with prayer scrolls.
