Art Deco ‘Tin Craquelé’ Bowl – A.D. Copier for Leerdam Glass Factory
A refined and characterful Art Deco bowl, designed by A.D. Copier for the renowned Leerdam Glasfabriek. This piece, executed in the distinctive tin craquelé glass technique, is a beautiful example of the innovation and aesthetics of the interwar period.
The bowl features an elegant, shallow form resting on a subtle foot and is finished in a warm amber/honey tone. The craquelé effect—a delicate network of fine crackles within the glass—creates a lively interplay of light, giving each piece a unique appearance. This type of glassware became popular in the 1930s within the Art Deco movement, reflecting a balance between decorative appeal and modern design.
