The Swatch Trésor Magique Platinum (ref. SAZ101) is one of the most significant watches in Swatch history: the first Swatch with an authentic metal case and, to date, the only Swatch made in solid platinum. The model was produced in 1993 in a limited edition of 12,999 pieces and was first presented by Nicolas G. Hayek at the NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange). It was launched at the official price of USD 1,618 and sold out in a single day. On October 10, 1993, collectors from all over the world camped outside stores for days to get one of the limited edition watches (as I did). Today, the Swatch Trésor Magique Platinum is one of the most sought-after and valuable Swatch models ever made.

The case is crafted in 40 g of solid platinum (950/1000) and marked the beginning of the famous Irony line. The platinum case measures 36.5 mm and offers an exceptional feel thanks to its total weight of about 63.8 g. The watch features a two-tone semi-skeleton dial with Roman numerals, gold Dauphine hands, and a striking luminous donut-shaped seconds hand. The sapphire crystal case back (still with the original protective film) reveals the movement: a Swiss ETA 2840-p automatic with signed rotor and 23 jewels.

This watch comes as a complete set:
