Frame - Walnut - Neo-Gothic - diamond-shaped

Belgian neo-Gothic wall frieze in richly carved walnut wood, executed in a characteristic diamond-shaped composition. This decorative object features refined scroll motifs, pinnacled accents and architectural details that are typical of the neo-Gothic revival around the turn of the century.

The warm wood with natural patina emphasizes the quality of the artisanal carving. The design alludes to Gothic window tracery and lends the whole an unmistakable architectural character.

Manufactured in Belgium around 1900. Originally intended as a surround for a mirror or small wall panel, today a stylish and authentic collector's item.
