An ornamental egg carved from a solid block of natural malachite, selected for the quality of the bands and the readability of the internal structures. The polished surface highlights a well-balanced combination of wide zones with concentric bands and portions with finer botryoidal aggregates, creating a visually dynamic yet orderly whole.
On one part of the egg, regular and parallel bands develop with a smooth, continuous pattern, while in other areas circular nuclei emerge, the typical “eyes” of malachite, arranged in compact groups. This alternation between linear and radial structures is indicative of growth by successive deposition of copper-rich solutions, occurring under geochemical conditions that are variable but stable over time.
The coloration is intense and well contrasted, with shades of green ranging from lighter, brighter hues to deep, saturated greens, helping to define precisely each growth level.
The egg-shaped form, without edges and perfectly balanced, enhances the continuity of the bands and amplifies the perception of the mineral’s concentric structure. Each rotation offers a different reading, alternating more compact surfaces with areas rich in details and structural inclusions.
