Beautiful tableware service from Richard Ginori with the iconic blue floral pattern - Poppies

This is a rare item to find with the Ginori brand. In fact it is more easily found with the SCI brand from Laveno, a manufacture later acquired by Richard Ginori, and where the decoration was very popular. The difference between the services of the two manufactories is seen not only from the mark on the pieces but also from the tureen, which in the SCI-produced sets had a different shape.

The decoration is very pretty, in a bright summer blue, suitable for the sea or the countryside, but also for a refined table setting.

The service is incredibly complete and in excellent vintage condition and, apart from a few minor blemishes I will report below, seems to have never really been used.

The set comprises 21 pieces:
6 flat appetizer/dessert plates Ø approx. 19 cm
6 flat serving plates Ø approx. 23 cm
6 deep plates Ø approx. 23.5 cm (one with a small chip on the back)
1 tureen/spaghetti dish width approx. 30 cm from handle to handle
1 salad bowl Ø approx. 25 cm
1 large serving platter Ø approx. 26.5 cm

Conditions:
The glaze is bright and the blue vivid. Except for the salad bowl and the large dish, which have, really minor, signs of use, the other pieces are mostly immaculate. Only one deep plate has a small chip on the back of the rim.
