Cutlery set (4) - Gilt brass, silver - Mignardise service

A four-piece mignardise service, typical of prestigious French metalwork from the end of the 19th century or the very beginning of the 20th century (circa 1890–1910).
Neo-Renaissance style mixed with Louis XV influences (Rocaille). The handles feature motifs of scrolls, quivers and crossed torches.
The handles are in silver-plated (Minerve circular hallmark).
The tops are in gilded metal (vermeil or brass). The contrast between the silver of the handles and the gold of the spatulas is characteristic of luxury services of the period.
