Description from the seller
"Catch 'EM All – Side Effects" – Limited edition (100 copies) - New collection 2026
Edition number: 06/100
Artist: SKE
Publisher: Atelier Montmartre Paris
300 g fine art paper – ISO A3 format – Signed, numbered – Certificate included
In this work, SKE reinterprets the cult universe of Pokémon and its innocent imagery. Gaston, true to himself, grabs Pikachu’s hand a little too quickly. Bad idea. Very bad idea.
Between flashes, danger signs, and scattered gestures, the scene tips into a chaotic and humorous energy. The power is there, uncontrollable, and Gaston experiences it firsthand. The contrast between the character’s cuteness and the electric violence creates an immediate dissonance.
Urban stroke, projections, drips, and strong cultural references mark a dynamic, ironic piece that is immediately legible.
Characteristics:
• Limited edition of 100 copies
• Printed on premium 300 g fine art paper
• ISO A3 format, easy to frame
• Each copy signed and numbered by SKE
• Includes certificate of authenticity
• Secured shipping, reinforced packaging
“Catch 'EM All – Side Effects” is a vibrant and joyful piece, designed for collectors who love pop art, reimagined comics, and works that tell a story.
A rare edition that will undoubtedly become a flagship element of your collection.
- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist and versatile creator who grew up immersed in 80s/90s culture, inspiring much of his artistic work.
He continually explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencils, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with double meanings, blend brute energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize at Urban Master (2023), then named Revelation of the Year at Challenge Color Jam (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also received a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited at major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, cementing his place on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE also makes a mark in the digital art market, a major trend in the past two years, enhancing the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and tactile textures characterize a style now indispensable.
SKE is undoubtedly an artist to watch, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.
Celebrated & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
AN UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY
SKE’s work fits into a prestigious lineage. His line exhibits the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works bridge eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to reinterpret Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr. Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA
Drawing on collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY
In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits alongside logos of luxury and fashion giants. His canvases capture the "Hype" aesthetic: sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and high fashion (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to forget mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured finishes that sometimes evoke the glossy surface of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This work is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your space.
