This underrated reportage lens from the 1990s can be very well used as a standard lens. The angle of view of 62° is larger than that of a standard 50mm lens (46°) and focusing starts as close as 25 cm instead of 45 cm. The lens has 6 elements in 5 groups and 7 diaphragm blades. The AF-Nikkor fits on all Nikon-manufactured SLR cameras, both for film and with sensors; both manual and autofocus focusing are possible. Delivers excellent images with no distortion. The letter D means that when using a Nikon flash the distance is metered/communicated. Supplied with the original hood (HN-14) and both caps. At only 237 grams it is also slightly lighter, and including the hood it is only 5.5 cm deep.
