Description from the seller
The 2230 comes from the "We sound better" series and is part of the devices that cemented the manufacturer’s reputation. It delivers a comfortable 30 W per channel and features a three-band equalizer complemented by high-pass/low-pass filters and a loudness control.
On the back, you’ll find notably a phono input, a tape input, and an auxiliary input, as well as a Pre out/Main in arrangement that allows you to use a separate preamplifier or an external power amplifier.
The chassis is metal, originally clad with wood-grain vinyl, and the front is brushed aluminum. As always with Marantz, we’re treated to superb lighting (here blue/green and red).
Specifications
- 2 x 30 W into 8 ohms
- Manufacturing date: between 1971 and 1974
- Weight: 14 kg
The unit presented here for sale is in exceptional condition: no signs of wear, no crackling from the potentiometers, and lighting in perfect condition.
