This Russian icon from the second half of the 19th century depicts Saint Paraskeva Pyatnitsa, patroness of the hearth and merchants. The Saint is portrayed with a scroll of faith and the hand raised in blessing, dressed in a precious red mantle decorated in gold. The panel includes side figures of intercessory saints and the Christ blessing above, presenting a chromatic style typical of Russian popular devotion in the 19th century.
Size: 28x23x2 cm
Good condition considering its age, with material defects, slight losses, chipping, and natural signs of time as shown in the photos.
