In a very realistic style, this drawing depicting a naked man viewed from behind highlights the muscles of his back and arm. The artist works the details with finesse until revealing the tiniest details of the hands. You can even discern a few drops of water on the back of the male character. A very sensual and erotic atmosphere emanates from this scene.

Verssan finds in pastel a way to appropriate the body through curves, hollows and fullness, shadows and light, by rubbing, blending and blowing the material onto the paper. The artist treats his subjects using tones of a color palette but also plays with the color of the support in warm grey tones, revealing both softness and delicacy but also strength and virility.
