Rare antique Boston game box from the Netherlands, dating to the 1860s–1880s, in good condition with hinges broken, featuring mother-of-pearl inlay on the lid, a “Continuation of the Rate of Strokes” inscription inside, four wooden trays with inlaid card suits, a large bone chip set in white, pink, and purple, and a working lock with original key.

An exceptionally complete and rare antique Boston game box from the second half of the 19th century. This example was specifically manufactured for the Dutch market, as evidenced by the very well-preserved "Continuation of the Rate of Strokes" on the inside of the lid. Features refined mother-of-pearl inlay of playing cards on the lid. Contents: 4 Original wooden trays with inlaid card symbols (Hearts, Diamonds, Spades, Clubs). A very extensive set of original bone chips (white, pink, and purple) in various shapes (round, rectangular, and square). Working lock including the original antique key. Condition: In very good antique condition. Hinges are broken. The interior and the paper table are in unusually good condition.
