NO RESERVE - Dialogue between objects (XL), 92 × 74 cm oil on canvas, contemporary Spanish school, Spain, period 1990–2000, oil painting, still life with a classical bust, unsigned, in good condition.
Description from the seller
Oil on canvas belonging to the contemporary Spanish school, 92 × 74 cm. The work does not include a frame.
The composition features a suggestive still life with a clearly poetic character, where everyday objects — ceramics, a glass bottle, a plate with fruits — coexist with a bust inspired by classical sculpture, placed on a floral tablecloth treated with broad, enveloping brushstrokes. The whole is articulated through a soft and luminous palette, dominated by pastel tones — blues, pinks, and greens — that bring harmony and an intimate atmosphere.
The work stands out for the quality of its chromatic handling and the sensitivity in the treatment of textures, especially in the fabric of the tablecloth and in the ceramic surfaces, resolved with restrained impasto and expressive yet controlled brushwork. The presence of the bust introduces a dialogue between the classical and the contemporary, enriching the conceptual reading of the piece.
It is a balanced and elegant work, representative of a contemporary figurative style with Mediterranean roots, where tradition and modernity coexist naturally. In terms of size, painting quality, and refined aesthetics, it is a very attractive work for collectors as well as for its integration into exhibition spaces or residential settings.
