A Roman bronze statuette of a bull, 1st-3rd century A.D. Depicting a standing bull with a powerful body, short muscular legs and a rectangular base. The animal is shown with its head turned slightly to the right, prominent forward-curving horns, defined muzzle and ears, and a long tail hanging down the right hind leg. A large rectangular opening pierces the base beneath the body. The surface displays a dark bronze patina with attractive patches of green encrustation. Height: 6.2 cm. Width: 2.4 cm. Depth: 3.8 cm.
